Epidote comes from the Greek word “epidosis”, which means “addition.”  The reason for that may be because Epidote increases whatever behaviors you have… good and bad.  So simply speaking…people who are loving and generous will become more so. Those who are unhappy and/or negative will also become more so until they can’t stand it and will be forced to make a change. 

 Epidote can be consciously directed to bring about whatever results or desires we want. This “intention stone” is beneficial to our immune system and is a great stone for keeping around when you are recuperating from a serious illness.  Also overcomes criticalness.
